Privacy Policy
Who we are
ChannelSpikes (channelspikes.com) is a YouTube channel analysis service. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it means ChannelSpikes.
What data we collect
- Account data: your email address, collected when you register via our authentication provider (Zitadel).
- YouTube data: publicly available channel and video metadata fetched via the YouTube Data API on your behalf when you run a scan. We do not access your private YouTube account.
- Payment data: credit card details are handled entirely by Stripe. We store only the outcome (credits added, Stripe session ID) and never see your raw card details.
- Usage data: credit transactions, scan history, and application logs used to operate and improve the service.
- Contact submissions: if you use the contact form, we store your email address and message to respond to you.
How we use your data
- To provide and operate the ChannelSpikes service.
- To process payments and deliver credits to your account.
- To respond to support enquiries.
- To send transactional emails (payment receipts, service notifications).
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Zitadel — identity and authentication.
- Google / YouTube Data API — to fetch publicly available YouTube channel data you request.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (available in Account → Danger zone), your account data is removed. Anonymised usage logs may be retained for operational purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us via the contact form.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication, CSRF protection, and first-party usage measurement. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
